Fire Engineer/Swiftwater Rescue Technician

Brian Felts is a 20-year veteran of the fire service, the last 15 years with the Nashville, TN, Fire Department (NFD) as a fire engineer/paramedic at Engine/Water Rescue 22 in special operations. He has been involved with swiftwater rescue since 2002, and is currently a swiftwater rescue instructor for both the NFD and the American Canoe Association. Felts co-authored the NFD's swiftwater rescue curriculum and is currently assisting in similar projects at the state level. He has been deployed to Hurricanes Florence and Irma as part of Tennessee's USAR Task Force 2, as well as the 2010 Nashville Flood.
