Jeffery Kraft Jr. is a 34-year veteran of the fire service, serving more than 23 years with the Chicago Fire Department. He has worked as a firefighter on Engine 95 and currently serves as a lieutenant on the south side of the city on Truck 42. Kraft has instructed for the Illinois Fire Service Institute since 2013 and serves as a subject matter expert for IFSI curriculum development projects. He also teaches for the Fire College and Winter Fire School events and for the Chicago Fire Department. Kraft holds an associate degree in fire science and emergency medical service from Moraine Valley College.
