Jason Abitz is a 17-year veteran of Fairfax County Fire & Rescue, currently assigned as a safety officer. He has served in both operational and administrative positions to include a three-year stint assigned to the department’s training division. Throughout the last four years, Abitz has been one of the program developers for the department’s officer development training unit, where he is responsible for training the organization’s 400+ officers in the areas of leadership and tactical competency.
