Beach, FL, Fire Rescue
Daniel Waldrep joined the fire service in 2002 after working at his family's roofing company. During that time, he learned the basics of roof construction, how roof covering is assembled and disassembled, identification of the safest areas to set up ladders and locating the safest paths to maneuver. Later in his fire career, he received his roofing contractor license and started a small roof repair company, employing the firefighters who helped him train. The specialized knowledge gained in both professions led to the development of his "Getting Down Alive" program.
