Mackey Hermosillo began a career at the Fort Worth, TX, Fire Department (FWFD) in 2001. Hermosillo was assigned to the Technical Rescue Team in 2009, began teaching recruit academy classes in 2013, teaches at Tarrant County College Special Operations courses, and taught recruit fire academy classes in 2016–2018. Hermosillo is currently assigned to FWFD recruit training as an instructor, recruit liaison, and peer fitness coordinator for FWFD.
