Kent Freeman, a 30-year veteran of the fire service, retired as captain and coordinator of technical rescue services for the Roseville, CA, Fire Department. Freeman is the author of California State Fire Training Divisions Confined Space Rescue Awareness program and served as the project leader for the curriculum development team for the Confined Space Rescue Technician program. He served as a committee member of the curriculum development team for the Trench Rescue Technician program. Freeman has worked extensively in confined space rescue, trench rescue and rope rescue operations, assisting in the development of training centers and working with OSHA as a technical specialist.
