Phillip Jose is a 30-year veteran of the fire service having retired as deputy chief of the Seattle Fire Department, where he served as the supervising operations shift commander and two tours in the Training Division. He developed and delivered training for chief officers for almost a decade and was chair of the Post-Incident Analysis and Standard Operation Guideline committees. Jose led the Chief Officers Mayday training program for four years and was Chief of the Year in 2013. He authored of the best-selling book "Air Management for the Fire Service” and has taught nationally.
