Rich Driscoll is the district chief in the Hartford, CT, Fire Department. He started his career in the fire service in 1985 as a junior firefighter with the Simsbury, CT, Volunteer Fire Department, where he currently serves as a captain. Driscoll's teaching background includes, but is not limited to, instructor for the Hartford County Fire School, On Scene Training Associates, and he also served as a training captain in Hartford. These instructor experiences have given him the opportunity to teach both regionally and nationally. Driscoll was the first president of the Charter Oak FOOLS of Hartford, CT, and was responsible for the formation of the organization. This group has been responsible for training firefighters in the region on current practices in the fire service.
