Paul Wilders is a 37-year veteran of the fire service and currently the assistant chief instructor of the Nassau County Fire Service Academy. Wilders is a former chief of the North Merrick, NY, Fire Department and a senior member of the department training committee. He is an ISO instructor of the National curriculum and an advocate for the NFFF courage to be safe program. Wilders is a past presenter at Firehouse Expo.
