Brewster Fire Rescue
Robert Moran currently serves as chief of department of the Brewster, MA, Fire Department. In 2011, he retired as fire chief of the City of Englewood, NJ, Fire Department where he served in the positions of dispatcher, firefighter, lieutenant, deputy chief, fire official, and chief of department during a 26-year career. Moran holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science from Jersey City State College, a master's degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, national certification as a certified public manager, and Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence and the Massachusetts Fire Safety Commission. He currently serves as a task force leader in the Barnstable County Technical Rescue Task Force and holds the position of emergency management director for the Town of Brewster. Prior to moving to Cape Code, he served in all line and chief officer positions during a 30-year career as a member of the Leonia, NJ, Volunteer Fire Department. Moran co-developed the State of New Jerseys Rapid Intervention Awareness Training Program and co-authored several components of the NJ Firefighter Skills Addendum. He is a founding partner of “Jersey Guys” Fire Service Training.
