Jeff Holloway started his fire service career in 1978 at the Pantego, TX, Fire Department. In 1980, he joined the Arlington, TX, Fire Department (AFD) and promoted through the ranks to deputy chief while serving in the Operations Division with short assignments in the Alarm Office, Medical Operations Office and the Office of Special Events. He graduated from Tarrant County College (TCC) with an associate of applied sciences degree in fire protection in 1987 and began his teaching career at TCC in 1992. Holloway continues to teach at TCC after retiring from AFD in 2017. His passion is preparing the next generation of incident commanders in their roles as company officers and chief officers.
