Washington Fire Department
Tim Frankenberg has been in the fire service for 27 years, serving the past three as fire chief with the Washington, MO, Fire Department, one of the largest all volunteer departments in Missouri. The community is home to multiple industrial complexes, warehouses and commercial structures. He has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University, St. Louis. He is a Certified Safety Professional and a Certified Fire Protection Specialist with numerous state certifications. He is employed by Ameren Services as a Fire Protection Engineer with oversight of fire protection specification, installation and maintenance for the electric and gas utility throughout Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. His duties also include oversight of the facility and training at the Ameren Fire School for energy center fire brigades. He also teaches driver/operator, fire protection systems and firefighter electrical safety throughout Missouri.
