Jacob Johnson is a 21-year “journeyman” of the craft. Starting at Katy, TX, Volunteer Fire Department as a junior firefighter at 15 years old. That’s where the importance of mentoring started in his career and he now dedicates himself to others who are new to the job or in a new position, much like “Pops” did for Jacob all those years ago. Throughout the years he has moved up in the ranks and changed departments in 2007. Johnson was one of the original full-time members hired by the Pearland, TX, Fire Department where he currently sits today as an assistant fire chief. He has presented nationally over the last several years. The fire service is his passion, but mentoring and seeing others succeed is what drives his soul and defines his mission.
