Why Attend?

World-class Conference Program:

Featuring unique classes not offered at other events, you'll have the opportunity to learn practical tactics, insights and lessons learned from the fire service's top instructors from across the nation. Choose from a wide variety of sessions, providing actionable content that you can take back to your department and implement immediately. Each session is hand-selected by the advisory committee comprised of local and national leaders in the fire service to provide a comprehensive, must-attend conference program.

"The conference classes were among some of the best classes I have taken in my career!"

- Keisha A., Fire Chief of Mary Ann Twp. Fire Dept, OH

Hands-on Training Classes & Pre-conference Workshops:

At Firehouse Expo, you're not watching others train in packed classes in short 4-hour segments, YOU are the one training in real-time scenarios in full 8-hour courses. Benefiting from 1:1 training, classes cover topics such as forcible entry, ladders, extrication, real-world staffing, primary search, live fire, ropes rescue and more. Looking for in-depth learning on specific topics? Firehouse Expo's full and half day Pre-Conference Workshops offer comprehensive educational opportunities in a classroom setting.

"The HOT classes were great. Plenty of time for quality reps. Instructors were supportive, willing to demonstrate and gave plenty of time for questions."

- Capt. Steve Stawecki, Macomb Twp. Fire Dept, MI

Exhibition Showcasing 150+ Companies:

In an interactive and highly-engaging environment, access to the 3-day exhibit floor showcasing leading manufacturers is FREE. See the latest apparatus, products, equipment and technologies on a perfectly sized exhibit floor while enjoying networking opportunities at the It's 5 O'clock Somewhere Networking Reception and Opening Welcome Reception. In addition, free educational opportunities are available via the Tailboard Talks and Roundtables featuring important insights and content on a range of topics.

"Very well organized with a lot of options yet didn’t feel overwhelmed or that I was missing something. Columbus is a great city!"

- Pete Byrne, Orangeburg Fire District, NY

Networking:

Building connections and meeting with fellow members of the fire service is what Firehouse Expo is all about. With a variety of networking and social events designed to bring attendees and exhibitors together, you'll benefit from countless opportunities to swap stories and lessons learned from peers from across the country. Attend the 5-o'clock Somewhere Networking Party, the 3rd Annual FireFest, the Welcome Reception and more to reconnect with old friends while meeting new ones!

"Great to network with firefighters from across the country and compare notes and see how they run things. It reinforced the need for high training standards."

Affordability:

Firehouse Expo provides a wide range of registration options designed to fit any budget. Returning in 2023, the Firefighter Partner Program enables departments to send an unlimited number of attendees for one low flat rate (the more the send, the more you save). Several departments benefited from this unique program designed to make training and learning affordable for every member of your department. Super Saver rates on individual and group packages are also available now for a limited time.

"Firehouse Expo is a great training opportunity at a reasonable cost. They clearly care about your education and not just numbers and money. Great job and I'm looking forward to next year."

- Steve Himan, Town of Chesterton Fire Dept, IN

Location:

Centrally located, Columbus is within 550 miles of nearly half the nation’s population, just a one-day’s drive or one-hour flight. The city’s compact convention package offers facilities, hotels, dining and entertainment options all within walking distance of one another. The Greater Columbus Convention Center sits at the center of the “Five on High” neighborhoods, each offering distinct experiences at many only-in-Columbus venues and facilities. The New York Times, Chicago Tribune and TripAdvisor have all recently named it a top destination to visit.

"The City of Columbus is beautiful, clean and peaceful. The variety of restaurants had us dining at a different place each night. The conference center was perfect for the event and the location of the hotels made everything within walking distance."
