speaker photoKen Bouvier, (Boo-V-A) is a true Louisiana "Cajun" from New Orleans, LA and has been actively involved in EMS since 1974. He is recognized both nationally and internationally by United Who's Who as a professional speaker in the EMS profession. Ken serves as the EMS Commander for major events including Mardi Gras. Recently he served as the EMS Commander for the Saints NFL Playoffs, Super Bowl Celebration and the Saints Championship Parade. Ken also serves as Fire Chief for Monsanto Company in Luling, Louisiana. Ken served as the President of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) from 2004 - 2006 and presently serves NAEMT as a Director at Large. He holds several certifications from Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University, Florida State Fire College, Louisiana State Police Academy and the National Fire Academy. Ken is on the Advisory Board of EMS Magazine and 24/7 FIRE. He has written many articles for EMS & fire service publications. He is best known for his lectures on Hazardous Materials, Penetrating Trauma, Motor Vehicle Collisions, "Tricks of the Trade" and America's School Shootings. He has made written contributions in 11 EMS textbooks and is the author of several video training tapes.
