EXPERTS DESK: John Lewis Lieutenant, Training and Safety Division Passaic, NJ FD John Lewis, Lieutenant, Training and Safety Division, Passaic, NJ FD, is a 29 year member of the fire service. He is an instructor at the Bergen County, NJ Fire Academy, an adjunct instructor for Kean University in Union, NJ, and a member of the NJ State Firefighter Health and Safety Advisory Committee. Lewis holds NJ state certifications as fire inspector/ fire official, level 2 fire instructor and fire investigator.
