The Fire Museum of Maryland

With 40 antique fire engines and a newly reconstructed 1871 Fire House on the main floor, the Fire Museum of Maryland is the third largest fire museum in the world. Other exhibits include a history and video of the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 with four engines on exhibit that fought in the fire. The museum is filled with artifacts that depict the working lives of fire fighters from the early 1800s to the present. In the Discovery Room, children can dress up in turnout gear and climb on a 1938 Mack Fire Engine. The Museum is open Saturdays, 10 – 4 pm, May– December, and Dec. 26-29, Open June – August, Wednesday –Sunday.
